The community is based on the parishes of Eassie and Nevay and the catchment of Eassie primary school.
Many of the population work in farming, the principle economic activity, and a number of small businesses. Others commute to population centers such as Kirriemuir, Forfar, Dundee and Perth.
The newly built Eassie and Nevay Hall is a center for all of the Community, hosting meetings for the Church, the Rural and other bodies and individuals. It acts as an additional resource for the School.
Eassie Church is a small oblong gothic building with castellated belfry. It is a C-listed building. Ministers stayed in the manse next to the church until 1966 when the church was linked with Newtyle. The minute books to 1929 are held in Edinburgh. The present minute book records 8 minister in the last century, with one serving 41 years.
The Kirk Session consists of 8 Elders and the Minister and is responsible for the maintenance and the running of the Church. Visitors are welcome to Worship.
Eassie Primary School has an excellent reputation and has achieved enviable Inspectors report. Current details may be found on the Eassie School Website.
