Eassie Primary School


Eassie is a two teacher primary school with a roll (2009) of twenty one pupils, twelve in P1-3 and nine in P4-7 class.
The school has an excellent reputation, recently obtaining a first class HMIE report.

Eassie Church


A small oblong gothic building with castellated belfry the church is a C listed building. Ministers stayed in the manse next to the church until 1966 when the church was linked with Newtyle. The minute books to 1929 are held in Edinburgh. The present minute book records 8 minister in the last century, with one serving 41 years.

The Kirk Session consists of 8 Elders and the Minister and is resonsible for the maintenance and the running of the Church. Visitors are welcome to Worship.

Eassie WRI


The Eassie and Nevay "Rural" was founded in 1921 and has provided a major bond for the social fabric of the area for more than 80 years. The present Community Hall was built in 1924 as the WRI hall and has, along with the Church and School, provided an essential focus. Understanding that the hall is an essential focus for the locale, the WRI gave it to the community in 2000 to better ensure its survival as a shared resource.
Meets 1st Wednesday of month (Sept->June) 7.30 pm at Eassie School.
